We all know actress Lori Loughlin mainly for her role as Rebecca Donaldson-Katsopolis on the ABC tv show Full house. The first episode aired in 1988 and the last one in 1995. We the fans were happy when there was a sequel on Netflix called “Fuller House” that lasted for three years. Lori’s career in Hollywood doesn’t stop there. We have seen her in lots of other movies and television series. The first 90210 Beverly hills fans must have been thrilled when the show was brought back to life as “90210” in 2008. We all loved Debbie (Annie and Dixon’s mum) and she sure was essential to the show. However, those days are gone and you will be in shock when we tell you where Lori is right now.
How It All Began
Did you know that Lori always dreamt about becoming an actress? As such, she began what would later become her acting career at the age of 11 years old as a print model. At first, her mother did not believe she would be selected as one of the models for the agency, but she was. Soon enough when she was 15, she was cast in the ABC show “The Edge Of Night” and just like that, a soon to be a great actress was born.
We Got A Full House!
One of our favorites show came to life in 1988. This was the debut of Lori as Rebecca. She was supposed to just be in the first few episodes but she became so popular and loved by the audience that they decided to make her the main character. The last episode of the show aired in 1995, shortly Lori co-starred with Tony Danza in Hudson Street. Unfortunately, the series got canceled after just one season
Aside from being an actress, Lori not only starred in the series “Summerland” but she also co-created and produced it. However, the show was canceled after two seasons because of low ratings. She had many roles in different movies and TV shows and it was in 2008 when she was cast as Debbie Wilson for the 90210 spin-offs. The last season of the show was released in 2013.

Lori has been through two marriages. The first time she walked down the aisle was in 1989 to marry Michael R. Burns, an investment banker. The couple got divorced a few years later in 1996. Just one year after, she would marry the designer Mossimo Giannulli (the creator of Mossimo clothing line). They met in 1995 and had two daughters together, Isabella and Olivia.

Money Can Buy Many Things, Freedom May Be One Of Them?
As it turns out, both daughters of Lori were supposed to get into the University of Southern California. Their parents made a very generous donation of $500.000 to the admissions committee, and by donation, we mean alleged bribery so that their daughters would be accepted and join the women’s rowing team. On March 13, 2019, the couple was apprehended by the federal authorities in Los Angeles. They were released on bail of $1 million.
The Scandal Is Not Over Yet
Shortly after the couple was sued by Stanford University graduates who declare that their degrees and education had been underrated because of the prestigious university’s association with the case. Besides, money laundering was added to the list of crimes committed by the couple. If they would have gone to trial, they could have faced up to 20 years in prison, but this is not what happened.
Lauri has been sentenced to two months in prison. Also, she will be supervised for two years during which she will have to fo 100 hours of community service and pay $150.000. Lori was more of an accomplice rather than the plotting brain. Her husband was, and as a result, he got sentenced to 5 months in prison. Meanwhile, their daughters are still enrolled in the university but they have lost many of the privileges they had before.
