Apple is expected to roll out an annual update to its iPhone lineup later this year but it looks like the iPhone SE 3 may not be a part of it. According to a new leak, the iPhone SE 3 is scheduled to launch in 2022. It will most likely be called the iPhone SE (2022) given the last two models’ names.

Tipster Ross Young tweeted out some crucial info about this new iPhone. It looks like this phone will have a small 4.7-inch form factor. This will please the users who are still looking to get their hands on devices with a small form factor. This will be similar to the iPhone SE (2020), however, we expect it to have better internals.

The iPhone SE 3 is also tipped to come with support for 5G with sub-6GHz band. We still don’t have much info about this model but we hope to learn more about it in the coming months.

In addition to the iPhone SE (2022) or iPhone SE 3, the tipster goes on to further claim that Apple is also working on an additional iPhone SE variant. This variant is expected to come out in 2023 and will most likely have a larger 6.1-inch screen with a punch-hole display. We still haven’t seen an iPhone with a punch-hole display yet, so it will be interesting to see how this one turns out.

It now remains to be seen if all the iPhones coming out going forward will have a punch-hole display or if Apple will stick to a notch style. There are some rumors about the next iPhone SE not having a home button as well. So, there’s a lot happening with iPhone rumors and we suggest you take all of them with a pinch of salt. We hope to learn more about them in the coming months.
